Project Construction since April 2025

Construction trailer with RH White staff entering at Milford Wastewater Treatment Facility

RH White mobilized trailers, crew, and equipment on site in mid-late April 2025.

RH White began work on site by reclaiming a portion of the paved access road from the main operations building past the septage building to just beyond the UV building. They began excavating on site to locate existing utilities to be abandoned or removed and existing utilities to remain or be relocated prior to installing new drainage pipes and structures, new electrical duct bank conduit and handholes, and re-rerouting sections of sludge transfer pipes and plant water lines. This work preceded excavation for the new tertiary building foundation and the new sludge holding tanks.

Two plant shut downs were required to de-energize old power feeds to existing tanks and buildings while activating new electrical power feeds to serve the existing tanks and buildings as well as the new tertiary building, new sludge holding tanks, and new dewatering building.

Excavation for the tertiary building and sludge holding tanks is deep, requiring sheeting and shoring, bracing, and dewatering prior to placement of the base stone and reinforcing steel for the matt slab. Independent observation of the sheeting, shoring, dewatering, and stone placement is being performed by SW Cole, Inc. Concrete pours for the matt slab, footings, and foundation walls will be ongoing through December 2025.
